About me

Sounds are everywhere. It’s my burden to capture it.

I grew up in the heart of Mozambique, surrounded by the rich musical traditions of the Chopi tribe, where the rhythms of timbila music were woven into everyday life. From an early age, music wasn’t just something I listened to—it was part of me. At home, at school, in nature… everywhere I went, sound shaped my world.

My journey took me from Mozambique to Portugal, where I studied classical guitar and singing, and later to the Netherlands, where I dove deep into classical opera at the Codarts Rotterdam Conservatory. Along the way, my love for music only grew, fueled by an endless curiosity for sound and the many ways it can tell a story.

Traditional African music, classical compositions, folk, and jazz all found a place in my heart, blending into my own creative language. Through them, I’ve discovered a unique and universal sound—one that speaks through the tribal languages of my roots.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to produce seven albums, perform across Europe, Africa, and Latin America, and collaborate with incredible artists from all over the world. And through it all, music remains my guide, my voice, and my way of connecting with the world.

Right now, I’m working with the Dutch band HAEVN, a collaboration that feels like it was meant to be. It all began nearly ten years ago when I met Jorrit—one half of the duo behind HAEVN—in a cozy jazz club in Amsterdam. We stayed in touch over the years, always sensing that our musical paths might cross again. And in 2022, it finally happened. Our collaboration took flight with Trade it for the Night, a song featured on their Holy Ground EP.

Soon after, I was invited to join them on stage for two sold-out shows at the iconic Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam. That night, we performed Trade it for the Night together for the very first time. I could have never imagined the doors that performance would open or the journey it would set in motion.

Our journey together didn’t stop there. We continued our collaboration with a brand-new song we wrote together, Great Mother. This song is an ode to Mother Nature, a reminder of the deep connection we all share with our planet and the responsibility we carry to protect its beauty and gifts.

Working with HAEVN has been an incredible experience, and I’m deeply grateful for everything this collaboration has brought into my life. And this is just the beginning.

Beyond my collaboration with HAEVN, I’m also embarking on an exciting new journey weaving classical and African music into something fresh and unexpected, blending traditions to create a sound that feels both timeless and new.

I’m also soon starting my journey as a music therapist, where I’m helping people by combining my musical background with healing therapy. I can’t wait to tell you more about both of these project.

My passion for sound is what keeps me moving. Always exploring, always searching for new ways to connect, express, and bring music to life.
